Back to Nature || Nature Writing with Kerri Andrews

In this Nature Writing Workshop participants will go on a gently-paced 3-mile walk with best-selling nature-writer Kerri Andrews, taking in a variety of environments around Peebles, from urban to semi-urban, to ancient structures to farmed land. Over the course of the walk we will use a range of techniques to engage with the world around us. Participants will be encouraged to make observations and will have the chance to try different ways of writing about what we find along our way. By the end of the workshop participants will have a better sense of how to be attentive to the natural world, and will have developed some skills in bringing this attentiveness into their writing.

No previous experience of creative writing is required. Participants will need to bring: a pair of sturdy shoes or boots; a drink; clothing appropriate to the weather; a notepad and pen or pencil. This will not be a guided walk, so participants will need to ensure they are self-sufficient.
